Fisher [1826-1903, historian and private secretary] informs the recipient that the Princess Emma Matschinsky should apply for patronage through Sir William Knollys [1797-1883]. However he warns that the Prince and Princess of Wales only give patronage to performers who have an established reputation or in whom they have a particular personal interest.
