| Description | Letter written from Fife Arms Hotel, Banff, dated 22 April and addressed 'My dear Vice-Chancellor'. The paper handlist to the collection states that the recipient is Sir Charles Grant Robertson (1869-1948; historian), Vice-Chancellor of the University of Birmingham from 1927-1938. The letter is in reply to a request made by Grant Robertson, that Lord Grey (1862-1933; Chancellor of the University of Oxford 1928-1933) nominate someone from the University of Oxford to the Court of Governors at the University of Birmingham. In his letter, Lord Grey asks if there is anyone Grant Robertson would like to suggest. |
