Extent1 item
Date1909
DescriptionBrief letter in which he refers to his part song 'Go Song of Mine' [according to information from the sale catalogue, apparently agreeing to Littleton's suggestion that the song should be issued separately in the standard Novello format for bound paper oratorios]. He also refers to the 'Dirge' [his 'Elegy for Strings']. again agreeing to a suggestion for its performance by Littleton 'only I fear it may sound thin without a D. Bass'. He mentions that he 'might be on tour again in a fortnight' and, as a postscript, asks how he should dress to go to Kneller Hall [at Twickenham, where a marching song of his was due to be performed]
