Extent | 1 item |
Date | 1961 |
Description | Thanking him for his letter, received via his publishers, Messrs Heinemann and for the gift of a length of material. Turnbull [who apparently had a small weaving factory] gave the design of the material he sent the title 'Pomp and Circumstance', in honour of Coward's novel of the same name, which he had enjoyed. Coward writes that he 'can truthfully return the compliment'. He thinks the material is beautiful, and plans to use it in his house in Switzerland, 'probably two cushions for the library'. |
