| Description | These two letters both appear to have been written to Higgins as manager of the Shakespeare Hotel and relate to hotel bookings. They appear also to have become attached by accident as there would seem to be no obvious connection between the two items.
The letter from Elgar, dated 8 May 1928, accepts a date for a luncheon, presumably to be held at the hotel. The other letter, dated 11 Oct 1937, is from J. Chas Maude, 38 Grove Avenue, Moseley, Birmingham. He settles his account and thanks Mr Higgins for the arrangements for his daughter's very successful party |
