DescriptionThis letter relates to railway construction. Stephenson informs Routh - who is addressed as 'My dear Sir' - of a proposed visit to settle the 'terminal stations' which he will fit in around a meeting of the 'Northern & Eastern' he must to attend. He has seen Routh's report 'on the state of the works' from which he has deduced that everything is proceeding satisfactorily. He also asks Routh to postpone 'purchases at the Norwich end' [? of land for track] until they have met.
