| Description | Letter written on headed notepaper from 4 Field Terrace, Bath Road, Worcester assuring Blackbourne that the arrangement of the Berceuse is entirely the recipient's property and telling him that his brother Frank played the oboe solo in the orchestral arrangement at the 'Club' and it was encored. The letter is dated 23 March 1886
This letter evidently relates to the rights to a piece performed at the Glee Club in Worcester, possibly from G. F. Blackbourne's collection, 'Primoses and Violets' published in 1883. Source: Sotheby's Catalogue, 17 May 2002 |
