TitleLetter from Noël Coward to an unidentified correspondent
Extent1 item
Date[1925]
DescriptionLetter written from 111 Ebury Street [London] and addressed 'Dear Sybil' in which he declines an invitation on the grounds that he is starting rehearsals for his new play for the Globe and has a matinee the next day so must go to bed early. He says he is working dreadfully hard and dare not go out after the performance in the evening and asks her to understand. The letter is dated 29 March and a year date of 1925 has been added in another hand.

Coward's play 'Fallen Angels' was performed at the Globe Theatre in 1925 and it is possible that the letter is referring to rehearsals of this play
