Rubbing of brass half effigy with mitre and crosier shown within castle with champion, ready for combat, at the gate; rabbit warren and trees representing Bere Chase recovered for the church by the bishop; incomplete marginal inscription in Latin; representations of the four evangelists at the corners; four shields

Paper, folded; stained, yellowed and brittle; some badly torn areas reinforced with additional paper; top right hand corner torn away and piece folded inside rubbing; very fragile
