Two alphabetically-organised place name indexes to the illustrations are found at the front of the volume. These indexes do not appear to overlap: one is headed '12th century fonts - circular - and earlier'; the other is headed '2nd index Norman Fonts'.
Listings of and notes about fonts, compiled by Richardson, can be found in his second series of volumes, Volumes N - S (see MS115/2/13-19).
