photocopy of a letter to the editor of an unknown Russian newspaper about V. P. Vasiliev submitted by his granddaughter Elena Oreshkova;
article written by V. P. Vasiliev and published in 1885 being an appreciation of I. I. Zakharov who he appears to have known while in Peking, where the latter was at the Russian Mission there.
