Simonov, professor of Astronomy and a member of Antarctic expedition of 1819-1821 led by Bellingshausen, newscutting of an undated article about Russia's relations with China entitled 'Russia and the Celestial Empire' from Novoye Russkoye Slovo' which makes reference to V. P. Vasiliev and photocopy of first page of an article reprinted from 'U.S.S.R Economy and the War' 1943 written in English and entitled 'Transportation Problems of the USSR'.
