DescriptionCorrespondence and copy press letters, draft letters of appointment of new trustees, and associated papers relating to the trust established upon the marriage settlement of Sarah, nee Appold and John Anstice [d 1867].

Trustees comprise William John Wilson, William Reynolds Anstice, and Gabriel Stone Poole. Subsequent trustees appointed in 1873 comprise Richard Edmund Anstice, Arthur Ruscombe Poole, and Frederick John Blake.

Correspondence is largely between trustees and the solicitors Tucker and Lake, who conducted the trust's legal affairs, and associated solicitors whose business affairs of clients related to the trust. The correspondence and papers relate to the management of trust properties, largely in Madeley, Salop and St Leonard, Shoreditch, and include material relating to trust investments, and the appointment of new trustees. In addition there is material relating to the transfer of finances from the trust of John George Appold [d 1865], Sarah Anstice's father, to the Anstice marriage settlement trust.
