| Administrative History | Ford Herman Hueffer, (he adopted the name Ford Madox Ford in 1919), was born in 1873. He was the son of Francis Hueffer, musicologist, and his maternal grandfather was Ford Madox Brown, the Pre-Raphaelite painter. His first novel was published in 1892. He was a prolific author and critic. He died in Deauville, France in 1939. |
