TitleWork books of Amy Wilkinson
Extent26 volumes
Date1850s-1879
DescriptionA collection of work books created, or used, by Amy Ethel Duodecima Legge Wilkinson (1862-1951). The majority of work books relate to French and German language exercises, translations and writing. One work book is entitled 'Amy's Mark Book' but contains no other information whilst another miscellaneous notebook had been used by Amy to practice her handwriting.

It appears that Amy occasionally re-used the work books of some of her elder siblings. Two work books have the name 'Aubrey T.' crossed out and replaced with 'Amy E.'. One work book appears to have been initially used by an elder sister, Mary Anne Marie Brookes (1840-1854) and was originally dated 1850. A miscellaneous work book used by Amy to practice her handwriting has the name of her brother Denning Greuber Legge Wilkinson (1851-1922) written on the inside cover.
