This piece of land called the New Allotment, formerly part of the common called Plaistow Green (comprising 1 acre, 1 rood, 4 perches) was conveyed by Anthony Lax Maynard to George Wildgoose of Plaistow Green, miner by deed of 1806; and after his death it was conveyed to Mary Redfern of Wheatcroft in 1817. By her will, dated 1842, a copy of which is included in the bundle, this land was bequeathed to her nephew, John Redfern who in turn conveyed it to William Redfern in 1847 |
