|Description||Letter written from 115 Shaw Street, Liverpool to Harriet Thiebault; dated 13 October 1854 and signed E. J. M. Bowles.|
Asks Harriet for details about a servant she has recommended, including what salary she might expect, and whether she can speak English. Goes on to ask whether Harriet might pay her a visit, and asks her to pray that 'I may never fail in doing the whole work of God'. Note on the reverse in a different hand reads 'from my god daughter who turned Catholic & became a nun'. It is not possible to tell whether this is Harriet's hand.
