|Description||Letter written from Grand Hotel du Louvre, Paris to Harriet Thiebault at Munich; dated 16 April 1856 and signed Helen Edwards.|
Explains her immediate plans, and regrets not being able to meet Harriet in Switzerland. She goes on to give news of mutual acquaintances, including Lady Elgin and her daughters and gives Harriet the names of some friends of hers who will show her hospitality if she visits Florence during the summer. Mentions the recent celebration of Peace. This is possibly a reference to the end of the Crimean War in 1856 and the Peace of Paris.
