Description | Letter written from Rue de Bourbon [Paris] to Harriet Thiebault at Blois; dated 27 June 1823 and signed Vaudreuil Cmte de Vaudreuil.
He apologises for not answering Harriet's letter sooner. He advises Harriet not to stay in her 'cottage in the country' during the winter if it is damp, for the sake of her health and that of her child, and goes on to allude to differences between England and France, mentioning Harriet's affection for her husband causing her to accept whatever is French. |
