Description | Including a manuscript letter from Lally to 'My Dear Winn', concerning her visit to the forthcoming Warwick Pageant, dated 16 July 1953; four printed items comprising souvenir supplements to the 'Royal Leamington Spa Courier' dated 18 July 1930 (entitled '"The Spirit of Warwickshire": Scenes in the Great Pageant at Warwick'') and 21 July 1922 (entitled '"Orpheus" at Warwick Castle'), an illustrated booklet with manuscript annotations entitled 'Gwen Lally: The World's Pageant Master'' and 'The July Shakespeare Pictorial: a monthly chronicle of events in Shakespeareland', number 29, July 1930; two mounted photographs of Warwick pageant by Benjamin Stone, July 1906; three photographs of Gwen Lally including two mounted portraits, of which one is a photograph by Walden Hammond and the other, annotated 'Daily Sketch', has a signed inscription from Gwen Lally to 'my Friends, Walter and Winifred Godfrey Payton' and ten uncaptioned photographs of pageants. |
