The letter relates to Churchill's forthcoming series of meetings in his constituency 'which will expose me to every sort of interrogation' and an article in the Daily Herald which seemed 'most formidable; but whatever happens I shall continue to fire at the common foe i.e. the Socialists with such artillery as I can muster'.
