/1 Letter from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from Beach House, Felixstowe, dated 25 August 1904. Hudson invites Lodge to stay in Felixstowe.

/2 Letter from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from 13 Dean's Yard, Westminster Abbey, dated 5 December 1904. Hudson urges the Lodges to visit Felixstowe in January: 'Plain fare, the sound of the sea day & night, the best air in England, and as much golf as you can do with on the best 9 hole course in this island!'

/3 Letter from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from 13 Dean's Yard, Westminster, dated 13 December 1904. Hudson is sorry to hear that one of Lodge's children has scarlet fever. He hopes Norah and Lodge will be able to visit Felixstowe in January.

/4 Letter from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from 13 Dean's Yard, Westminster Abbey, dated 22 December 1904. Hudson discusses arrangements for Lodge's trip to Felixstowe.

/5 Letter from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from Beach House, Felixstowe, dated 6 March [1905]. Hudson believes that Felix Cobbold was 'entirely mollified' by Lodge's letter. He offers to propose Lodge as a member of the Felixstowe Golf Club.

/6 Letter from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from Lapworth near Birmingham, dated 8 April 1905. Hudson discusses the Lodge's possible visit to Felixstowe at Whitsuntide. He asks: 'Will Edw[ar]d Lyttelton mend matters at Eton?'

/7 Letter from Oliver Lodge to Robert A. Hudson, written from Mariemont, Edgbaston, dated 18 July 1905. Lodge reluctantly agrees to speak at Ancoats and asks what is required.

/8 Letter from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from 13 Dean's Yard, Westminster Abbey, dated 16 October 1905. Hudson writes about Lodge's 'unfortunate' appointment to speak at Ancoats: 'If Morley was to blame, please forgive him. He is such a good fellow, & he does such splendid work in that dismal district of Manchester'. He invites Lodge to attend the Omar Club dinner and play golf.

/9 Letter from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from 13 Dean's Yard, Westminster, dated 19 October 1905. Hudson invites Lodge to visit Felixstowe in January.

/10 Postcard from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from 13 Dean's Yard, Westminster Abbey, dated 14 October [1906]. Hudson tells Lodge to write when he is certain of his availability.

/11 Letter from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from Beach House, Felixstowe, dated 3 February 1907. Hudson suggests ways that he and Lodge could spend the evening when they meet in London.

/12 Postcard from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from 13 Dean's Yard, Westminster Abbey, dated 11 February 1907. Hudson arranges a dinner with Lodge, the Dean of Westminster, Dr Beeching and Birrell.

/13 Postcard from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from 13 Dean's Yard, Westminster Abbey, dated 8 February [1907]. Hudson writes that he and Lodge can attend the Levee at 12 then dine at home rather than attending a dinner of the National Liberal Club.

/14 Letter from Robert A. Hudson [to Oliver Lodge], written from Beach House, Felixstowe, undated. Hudson corrects a mistake he made concerning the relation of his house to the French coast.

/15 Letter from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from 13 Dean's Yard, Westminster Abbey, dated 19 July [1905]. Hudson thanks Lodge for agreeing to speak to Morley's Brotherhood at Ancoats. He advises Lodge to stay in Manchester rather than at Morley's cottage. He invites Lodge to Felixstowe.

/16 Letter from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from 13 Dean's Yard, Westminster Abbey, dated 23 May [19--]. Hudson writes that Lodge has been elected to the Felixstowe Golf Club. He looks forward to seeing the Lodges at the Lamb's house in Borden Wood. He thanks Lodge for sending a copy of his book.

/17 Letter from J. A. Spender to Oliver Lodge, written from Chantry Place, Marden, Kent, dated 11 September 1929, with envelope. Spender asks Lodge to share memories and letters of Robert Hudson for a short memoir he is writing. With letter from Robert A. Hudson to Oliver Lodge, written from 13 Dean's Yard, Westminster Abbey, dated 18 September 1913 and annotated: 'Returned by Mr Spender'. Hudson congratulates Lodge on the success of his British Association work. He transcribes a letter from Lady St Helier praising Lodge's speech at Birmingham.

/18 Copy of letter from Oliver Lodge to J. A. Spender, dated 14 September 1929. Lodge agrees to help Spender with his memoir of Robert Hudson.

/19 Copy of letter from Oliver Lodge to J. A. Spender, dated 27 September 1929. Lodge describes his friendship with Robert Hudson. He encloses one letter from Hudson (see OJL/1/187/17).
