DescriptionCorrespondence from Robert Lodge, with note identifying him as cousin of Oliver Lodge.

/1 Letter from Robert Lodge to Oliver Lodge, written from Compton Wood, Eastbourne, dated 15 February 1912. The meaning of the letter is unclear but appears to be a joke: 'Times must be hard in Birmingham when the family takes to dog stealing!'

/2 Letter from Robert Lodge to Oliver Lodge, written from Royal Hotel and Baths, Matlock-Bath, dated 24 May 1912, with envelope. He believes that sending £250 without enquiry would be injudicious and goes on to ask about Henry's citizenship status in America.

/3 Letter from Robert Lodge to Oliver Lodge, written from Compton Wood, Eastbourne, dated 16 July 1916. He thanks Lodge for the letters from Richard's sons about action at the front. He writes that Frank's son is a prisoner in Mesopotamia and Bertie Hulseberg is in East Africa. He adds that he can hear the guns day and night.
