/1 Letter from William Rothenstein to Oliver Lodge, written from Iles Farm, Far Oakridge, Stroud, Gloucestershire, dated 28 May 1916. Rothenstein writes that he is contributing a painting representing English universities to Henry Wilson's scheme for decoration of public buildings to be shown at the Winter Exhibition of the Academy, and asks Lodge to sit for the painting.

/2 Letter from William Rothenstein to Oliver Lodge, written from Far Oakridge, Stroud, Gloucestershire, dated 5 April 1936. Rothenstein writes that one of his drawings of Lodge has been selected by the Trustees of the National Portrait Gallery.

/3 Copy of letter from Oliver Lodge to William Rothenstein, dated 8 April 1936. Lodge remembers the pains Rothenstein took over his portrait, and Rothenstein's goodness during the Lodges' first visit to Florence.
