/2 Letter from Arthur C. Benson to Oliver Lodge, written from Magdalene College, Cambridge, dated 28 February 1905. Benson writes in support of Stephen Gaselee and Charles Tennyson, who believe themselves to have been the subject of Lodge's criticism in his recent lecture satirising 'the futility of Eton boys'.

/3 Letter from Arthur C. Benson to Oliver Lodge, written from Magdalene College, Cambridge, dated 3 March 1905, with envelope and newspaper cutting entitled 'Futile Eton Boys'. Benson proposes to explain to Gaselee and Charles Tennyson that they were not the subject of Lodge's criticism. He agrees that school conventions must be broken down.
