/1 Letter from J. H. Brinkworth to Oliver Lodge, written from the Physical Society Club, London, dated 21 July 1939. Brinkworth asks Lodge to donate papers of historical interest to the Physical Society which has begun creating an archive.

/2 Copy of letter from Oliver Lodge to J. H. Brinkworth, written from Normanton House, Lake, near Salisbury, dated 22 July 1939. Lodge shares his memories of the foundation of the Physical Society and its early meetings.

/3 Letter from J. H. Brinkworth to Oliver Lodge, written from 40 Paultons Square, Chelsea, dated 27 July 1939. Brinkworth thanks Lodge for his letter and hopes he will share further memories or documents relating to the Physical Society's early history.

Alvey is happy to send Lodge's letters for Professor Herbert Dingle to look over. On the back of the page is a typescript copy of letter from J. H. Brinkworth to Helen Alvey, dated 1 December 1950, to which the letter of 4 December is a reply.
