/1 Letter from Andrew Carnegie to Oliver Lodge, written from Skibo Castle, Dornoch, Sutherland, dated 3 October 1906, with envelope. Carnegie thanks Lodge for sending a copy of his book. He writes that Carnegie Research is supporting Professor Matthews' experiments into the chemical conditions required for life. He is deeply concerned about [Joseph] Chamberlain's health.

/2 Letter from Andrew Carnegie to Oliver Lodge, written from Skibo Castle, Dornoch, Sutherland, dated 9 August 1909. Carnegie makes arrangements for Lodge to visit.

/3 Pencil note from Andrew Carnegie to Oliver Lodge, written on the back of a letter from Ede, Son and Ravenscroft to Carnegie, dated 18 September 1910. Carnegie asks whether he needs to order new robes from Ede, Son and Ravenscroft to receive his honorary degree.

/4 Letter from Andrew Carnegie to Oliver Lodge, written from Skibo Castle, Dornoch, Sutherland, dated 27 September 1909. Carnegie enjoyed Lodge's visit. He is now preparing to travel overseas.

/5 Letter from Louise Carnegie to Oliver Lodge, written from 2 East 91st Street, New York, dated 9 February 1910, with envelope. Carnegie writes that her husband is recovering from his knee injury. She thanks Lodge for sending the details of the degree celebration.

/6 Letter from Louise Carnegie to Oliver Lodge, written from Skibo Castle, Dornoch, Sutherland, dated 11 September 1910. Carnegie thanks Lodge for sending a copy of his book ['Parent and Child']. She writes that her family are all well.

/7 Letter from M. Mackenzie Stuff (on behalf of Burton J. Hendrick of New York) to Oliver Lodge, dated 28 March 1927, with envelope. Stuff returns Lodge's letters from Andrew Carnegie, which have been copied and filed. With manuscript extract, in an unknown hand, from Tchackowsky's diary of 1891 relating to his meeting with Carnegie.
