| Description | Letter written in pencil from 2 Grove Park, Liverpool to Miss Busk at Hotel du Cygne, Montreux, Switzerland in which he apologises for the delay in replying which is due to an attack of influenza. He says that he has stayed at the Hotel de Londres in Genoa but had not heard that there was a haunted room: 'The way in which an old emotion lingers among inanimate objects (apparently) is most curious, & it's not uncommon'. The letter, which is possibly a draft, is dated 21 February [18]95 |
