DescriptionCopy of letter dated 4 October. Reinhardt Rutland writes that he is happy to show Lodge their previous correspondence but will not trust the originals to the post and suggests that they meet in Birmingham. He comments: 'It is possible that you do not quite realise the feelings aroused in my mind by the receipt of Mr. Briscoe's letter' and stresses his anxiety that the misapprehension should be cleared up. In a handwritten postscript Reinhardt Rutland adds that the letters could be conveyed by his solicitors. With a typewritten copy.
