It includes childhood notes and essays and assignments composed during her time at boarding school in 1916; notes for and drafts of some of her political speeches made between 1929 and 1931 when she was Labour MP for Stoke-on-Trent, together with associated material such as press cuttings; medical records giving details of her recurring health problems, during the 1920s and early 1930s.
