| Description | This is a daily journal kept by Slaney between April 1815 and July 1816, while living in London. He records brief details of his daily activities, with occasional comments on current affairs and reading matter. He includes more extensive entries describing a trip to Derbyshire in June 1815, to Hampshire in December 1815, and a visit to France in October 1815. This last visit was undertaken with 'Eliza', his wife and he spent most of his time in Paris, sightseeing, travelling back via Amiens. He mentions seeing his 'little girl' on his return to England, presumably one of his daughters. |
