| Description | Letters concerning proposed exchanges of allotments on Mr Williams' estates under the Hartlebury Enclosure Act.
SB/899: The exchanges have been delayed due to the sudden death of Mr Williams, but the scheme of exchanges will be sent to the Bishop for approval very soon. He includes a list of parties concerned. 8 November 1825.
SB/900: Reporting that the Bishop has rejected the scheme of exchanges. The letter includes a copy of Townsend's bill for 'staking' the allotments and a copy of the letter from the Bishop refusing to consent to exchanges until he has consulted law authorities in the House of Lords. 12 December 1825.
SB/901: Asking Mr Williams' executors to pay for work undertaken in connection with the proposed exchanges under the Hartlebury Inclosure Act. 8 January 1827.
SB/902: He believes there is a disparity between the Hartlebury Award and the Bishop's book due to the circumstances of purchasers John Giles and Edward Wheeler, and promises to amend Bishop's Book accordingly. |
