British Honduras, Belize became an independent colony in 1884. Self-government was attained in 1964, and independence in 1981.
In 1962, £5,000 was allocated to relief following the hurricane in Belize. There was a small donation in 1970. In 1975, following the devastation caused by Hurrican Fifi, SCF mad a donation of £5,000 followed by £8 the next year. A further donation, mostly of gifts in kind, followed in 1980. |
