| Administrative History | In 1958 SCF sent a donation towards the building of a club for street children in Montserrat, which opened in 1960. The purpose of the small grant to Montserrat in 1973 is not recorded.
In 1976 SCF opened a day care centre in Plymouth at the request of the government, to provide care for children of working mothers. In 1977 a second centre opened in Bethel. A weekly playgroup session was run at Plymouth and a toy library was planned. In 1978 there was also a feeding programme for primary and pre-school children. SCF projects were handed over to local authorities in March 1980. Some funding seems to have continued until 1983. |
