Save the Children did not run a programme in the country, but provided funding and supplies, principally second hand clothing to other organisation, including nutrition groups, the Makeni Ecumenical Centre and the Chibolya Faith Mission.

Between 1976 and 1980 Save the Children exchanged correspondence with the Ministry of Health concerning the possibility of a joint project.
