| Description | Reports detailing the programmes run by Save the Children Fund (SCF) in Germany from 1948-1962. Bridget Stevenson completed reports from May 1948 to 1960; earlier reports were submitted by Margot Rue, section leader, Dorothy England, deputy section leader/deputy team leader, or by A. E. Glanville.
Reports generally describe events of interest at Uelzen Transit Camp. The first three folders are copies of section leaders' monthly reports sent from Relief Section 152, SCF, CBSRA Commission [or COBSRA: the Council of British Societies for Relief Abroad], Uelzen, Lower Saxony, Germany. SCF worked under the CBSRA Comission until June 1950.
Later reports also mention SCF work at: the Quaker Neighbourhood Centre, Brunsweig; Watzumer Hauschen Holiday Home; Bahrenhof Children's Home; Hennenclee Home, Neu-Asel and Bruckenau; amongst other holiday homes run for children by SCF, Uelzen.

| Administrative History | Under the Berlin Declaration of 5 June 1945, the German state was under a four-power military, political and administrative occupation, run by Britain, France, US and the Soviet Union. Uelzen Transit Camp was a screening camp in the British Zone, where commissions were set up to decide whether the refugees were entitled to seek sanctuary in the West. |
