DescriptionLetter written from Blackburn. She is offended and puzzled by the sharp tone of Elizabeth's previous letter. Her brother William has been to see James; the latter has not been well since a horse rolled over upon him the previous summer. Thanks Elizabeth for the draughts board, but it has put her under an obligation to her, and she feels that gaming will not improve her state of depression.
