DescriptionLetter written from Colne. She saw Thomas very briefly; has received a letter from Bakewell with news of Mr Wilkinson who is recovering from a mental complaint. Richard has been financially exploited by some Jews. Sarah is much better. She encourages Elizabeth to bring up her children in the Christian faith and they will not cause her any worries. Elizabeth's uncle John now has a house in Colne, which Richard may live in. Frances may come to Colne if her husband has to join his regiment in the East Indies. Sarah sends her love. Everyone is well.
