Mrs Wilkinson took Sarah to Spring Vale to take her mind off this upset; they saw Mr Wilkinson there, who is still mentally ill. Mrs Wilkinson is considering fitting out one of her cottages for herself. She wonders whether Sarah would like to stay as one of the family, or whether she would prefer to go to London. Maybe she could stay with Elizabeth until Christmas. |
