Membership of the committee consisted of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of BIrmingham (chair); the President of Selly Oak Colleges; the Principal and Deputy Principal of Westhill College; the Staff Development Officer of Westhill College; the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Social Science, University of Birmingham; the Dean of the Faculty of Education and Continuing Studies, University of Birmingham; the Head of the School of Education, University of Birmingham
Minutes of the first meeting, held on 2 June 1994, record discussion about incorporation of legislation; transfer of responsibilities; and the schedule of University services, and include a copy of the Committee's terms of reference and a copy of the Accreditation Agreement. Subsequent meetings discuss the appointment of External Examiners; the College's Strategic Plan; arrangements for degree congregations; the Westhill College Implementation Plan; the Westhill College AcademicAudit; the revision of programmes and regulations and the approval of new programmes; Westhill College Academic Plan. The minutes also include copies of reports of the Joint Research Committee
Minutes of the meeting held on 11 February 1998 discuss proposal for a framework scheme of Accreditation. There are supporting papers for a meeting due to be held on 17 February 1999 but no minutes, and it is unclear whether this committee continued to meet following the agreement of the Strategic Alliance between Westhill College and the University of Birmingham in 1999 which subsumed the previous accreditation arrangements.
