| Description | Minutes of a committee established in March 1976 on the recommendation of the Committee of Principals and Deans following the Senate's decision to formulate an Academic PLan for the University. Membership of the Working Party was Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Vice-Principal Professor R. J. North as chair; Pro-Vice-Chancellors Professor J. Walker and Professor McKeown; the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor J. D. Fage, and the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Social Science Professor J. Samuels. R. Sawers was appointed by the Academic Executive.
The Working Party considered information and written statements from members of the Department of Russian Language and Literature and the Centre for Russian and East European Studies as well as comparative information about other universities, statements about acommodation and the use of the Baykov Library, and information from the University Careers Service about the demand for graduates in Russian Studies and their career prospects. |
