Minutes of committee meetings contain discussion about changes to the governance of the University, and the structure of major committees. Minutes of the first meeting, on 11 April 1973, include a copy of a draft report on the formal structure of University administration and the functions of the Finance and General Purposes committee, the Academic Executive, the Academic Staffing committee, and the Committee of Principals and Deans, setting out current functions and proposed changed functions, membership, and period of appointment in line with Review Body proposals. Further reports on composition and functions of these committees are included with minutes of the meeting held on 25 May 1973 Minutes of the meeting held on 14 December 1973 discuss the draft revision of the Charter and Statutes and include an annotated copy of the Charter and Statutes. Minutes of the meeting held on 9 January 1974 discuss revisions further. A copy of the revised Charter and Statutes, incorporating comments of the committee, and for presentation to Court of Governors, is included with minutes of the meeting held on 23 January 1974.
