|Minutes of the Handbook sub-committee, later the Handbook and Programme sub-committee, are generally brief in content. Meetings discuss the format and distribution of the handbook, and the inclusion of information about university departments, student societies, facilities including the library, and plans or maps of university buildings. Publication of the Guild diary is also addressed. Minutes of the successor committee, the Programme committee, from 1931, also discuss the Guild programme of social events, particularly the planning of lecture series, engaging speakers and setting dates for dances and social events held at the newly opened Union building.
