DescriptionBoth volumes contain indexes at the front. Accounts are set out in alphabetical order and include accounts for Guild committees. The 1924-1930 ledger contains accounts for the Athletics club; student societies; Mermaid; Union expenses for office supplies, printing and stationery and staff costs; Men's and Women's Club and House committee accounts; Union Club accounts; NUS account; donations; entertainments and individual event accounts; income and expenditure account for 1925 and 1926 and balance sheets for 1925 and 1926.
The 1957-1970 ledger also contains accounts for Guild committees and a number of student societies as well as accounts for donations to charities and appeal funds including entries for donations for the Devon flood appeal in 1961 and the Hungarian Relief fund in 1957.
Both ledgers provide evidence of a range of student societies functioning during the period they cover
