| Description | This section comprises two volumes of press cuttings collected by staff at Mason College between 1898 and 1900 containing reports covering the campaign for a university in Birmingham, and a small amount of miscellaneous loose press cuttings which document particular events in the history and development of Mason College from 1880 to 1893. The sequence of volumes of press cuttings relating to newspaper coverage of events at the university was continued by staff at the University of Birmingham, and these later volumes will be catalogued at UB/PC
The majority of the press cuttings in these volumes consist of reports printed in Birmingham newspapers, but there are occasional cuttings from the national press |
