DescriptionThis series comprises sequences of registers recording the names and details of students at different stages of their studies at the University of Birmingham. There is a set of matriculation registers which records details of students admitted to a course of study at the University between 1900 and 1961; two course registers providing details of undergraduate students enrolled at the University in the academic sessions 1902-1903 and 1964-1965; two separate but overlapping series of examination registers recording the names and examination results of students taking examinations at the University of Birmingham between 1905 and 1998, with some information about examinations at affiliated colleges in 1999 and external examiners up to 2002; and a series of registers recording the signatures or names of graduates from 1901 to 1987 and the recipients of honorary degrees from 1901 to 1999
