| Description | Forms collected by the Registrar and completed by students entering the University of Birmingham containing name, date of birth, place of birth, nationality, permanent and sometimes local address, date of entry to University, name of school, particulars of examinations, name, occupation and address of parent or guardian, brief details of course of study, and printed declaration promising to obey the Regulations of the University signed by student. The majority of the registration forms are for courses in the Faculty of Science between 1937 and 1967, but there are also some forms for courses in the Faculty of Commerce and Social Science between 1937 and 1958
Most forms are arranged in alphabetical order by name of student and in year order. There are some forms which date from the late 1930s and early 1940s which include the names of students in different years of study rather than just one year of entry to the University |
