| Description | Records comprise a series of student registers kept for financial purposes 1906-1938 and a series kept for academic purposes 1910-1951 containing information about students in the Day Training Department and later Education Department at the University of Birmingham; a series of student files kept by staff in the Education Department containing information about individual students 1923-1959; and a series of examination results for students at teacher training colleges which were constituent colleges of the Department of Education and affiliated to the University of Birmingham for the award of Certificate in Education 1929-1967; set of student lists containing the names of students on the two year primary education training course 1931-1950 and on postgraduate courses 1936-1953 and 1938, 1947-1980; and a set of student records cards recording information about students studying for the Certificate in Education at constituent colleges affiliated with the University of Birmingham, most of whom had to re-take examinations 1951-1977. There is also a small set of papers relating to the Diploma of Higher Education in Practical Theology, validated by the University of Birmingham Faculty of Education and Continuing Studies, 1996-1997 |
