Date17 December 1944
DescriptionHas been much occupied with a picture of an ice ballet at Blackpool Ice Dome, painted from memory. Thinks that it may be her best work. Barry Jackson is much better after his rest. Scott is a worry to them, suffering much from breathlessness. They both need to see specialists, but in Scott's case it is difficult to know whether it is genuine ill health or hypochondria. She visits them every day. She herself does not mind working hard at her paintings; she loves the work. Mr Dowsett [of Dowsett and Mackay] has put two studios at her and Harold's disposal at Colwall. She has not yet used hers and will continue to use the Wind's Acre studio for some of her work until the Nicolls' return
