TitleBeatrice Wilson Grove End House, London NW8, to Nicoll
Extent1 item
Date25 July 1941
Description[Letter contains two large excisions by censor]. Has written to Margaret Webster in New York re her play, which English producers are reluctant to stage. Perhaps a drama society at Yale can stage it. Would welcome Nicoll's comments. The West End theatre has suffered in the war but local touring companies are doing well. The Old Vic is producing plays in the provinces for workers. Has seen Sybil Thorndike and Lewis [Casson] in King John at the New Theatre, a good production. Her play will give an idea of the Old Vic Theatre students' life
